Ada Beulah Woodson, 90, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on September 24, 2011 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on October 26, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Charles and Fernnella Walker Woodson Sr. Ada was lively, energetic, warm and engaging, and devoted to her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. During her diverse career, she was a housekeeper, clerical worker, postal worker and a Clerk for the Internal Revenue Service; all of which she gave up in 1950 and faithfully cared for her parents until their death. She loved God with all her heart, sharing his principles with others as well as living them. Whomever she met, they received her pleasant smile and gracious attention. Her favorite scripture verse was Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in My name I am there in the midst of them". She is survived by a sister, Charlotte "Zoe" Thompkins of Kansas City, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Ada was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Woodson Jr., Brother-in-law, James C. Thompkins, niece, Cheryl Thompkins and a great niece Jessica L. Thompkins. Graveside services and burial will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Kennekuk Cemetery east of Horton, Kansas.
