Alice Rose Brandenburg, 62, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at her home on the Kickapoo Reservation. She was born on February 12, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Wayne & Jane Masqua Johnson. Alice was an assembly line worker for Roll-O-Matic in Belton, Missouri for years. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe and the Drum Religion. On January 23, 1962 she married Ronnie Lee Brandenburg Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Helton of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly Brandenburg and Beverly Carroll both of Horton, Kansas; two sons, Ronnie Brandenburg Jr. and Bertrand Brandenburg both of Horton, Kansas; brother, Dudley Johnson Sr. of Horton, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leva Miller. Drum Services will be held at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
