Obituary

Annie "Marilyn" Jackson, 91, of Whiting, Kansas, passed away on December 7, 2012 at her home. She was born on October 25, 1921 in D'Low, Mississippi the daughter of Eli and Mary Smith Madden. Marilyn was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Horton, Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary where she a was Chaplin for the state of Arizona. She married James Elmer Beatty and he passed away in 1963. She then married Delbert Jackson and he also preceded her in death on April 19, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Hope Bergstresser of Whiting, Kansas and Mary Ann Brazzle of Onaga, Kansas; five sons, Bill Beatty of Tucson, Arizona, Richard Beatty of Netawaka, Kansas, John Beatty of Belvue, Kansas, Bruce Beatty of Onaga, Kansas and James Beatty of Tucson, Arizona; twenty grandchildren and forty nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Elease Bortre and a brother, Eli Madden Jr. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Horton, Kansas. Burial will be at the Springhill Cemetery in Whiting, Kansas at 1:30 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Whiting First Baptist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
