Brenden Joseph Lee Smith, 30, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on October 7, 1995, in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Nick and Ginger Payne Smith. Brenden was a current student at the Southern New Hampshire University working on his degree in computer software engineering. On July 25, 2015, he married Aleasha Morfitt at Sycamore Springs. Brenden loved his wife dearly and was a loving father to his children. He had a passion for cars, computers, music, video games and playing his guitar. Brenden is survived by his loving wife, Aleasha Smith of the home, three daughters, Madison, Olivia, and Natalie, his parents, Nick and Ginger Smith, father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Linda Morfitt, two sisters, Cinnamon (Meshinea) Allen, Alyssa Smith and a brother, Shaun Smith and brother-in-law, Josh Morfitt. Brenden's services will be held at a later date.
