Obituary

Bridget R. Streeter, 40, of Everest, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born on April 2, 1973 in Newton, Kansas the daughter of Cheryl (Niemann) Lanter and the late Gary B. Lanter. Bridget graduated from Horton High School in 1991. She attended Cosmetology School in Topeka and was employed as a hair stylist for a few years. She then continued her education at Northeast Kansas Technical School in Atchison to become an Administrative Assistant. She then worked at Blish Mize, Sac & Fox Casino, NEK Carriers, TNK Transportation, Stan Boos Auto Sales, Hemisphere GPS. She was currently employed at Rainbow Telecommunications. She was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Nortonville, Kansas and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Atchison, Kansas and a current member of the Everest Christian Church.
She married Greg Welch in Atchison, Kansas and lived in Rural Horton, they later divorced. She married Patrick Streeter, the love of her life, in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 2003 and made their home in Everest, Kansas. Bridget loved to attend many activities and sporting events that her two sons were involved in. She enjoyed camping, boating, watching Pat and his Dad race at Thunder Hill Speedway and spending time with her family and friends. She was very active in the Everest Chamber of Commerce helping organize the Annual Fun Day and holiday events. Bridget was an active member of the Horton and Everest communities. She received the love and respect from all that she gave to other people. She never knew a stranger.

Bridget is survived by her husband Pat, sons Mitchell Welch of McPherson, Marcus Welch of the home, her mother Cheryl Lanter,of Sugar Lake, Missouri, sisters Michele Kimmi (Kyle Rodvelt)of Everest, Lindsey (Mitchell) Bowen of Basehor, brother Ryan (Jeni) Lanter of Fairview, her father and mother-in-law Jim and Gail Streeter, Everest; sister-in-law Kelly (Kevin) Krch, Lincolnville; Grandmother Ruth Niemann, Sugar Lake, MO, Nieces and nephews Ashley, Kaelyn, and Trenton Kimmi, Kale, Chase, and Mason Bowen, Crayton and Raelyn Lanter, Seth and Nicholas Krch, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her Father Gary Lanter, her niece Taylor Kimmi, her Grandfather Junior Niemann, her Grandparents Donald and Helen Lanter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Horton Christian Church. Family will greet friends on Sunday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Burial will be held at Miller Cemetery, Everest, Kansas.
