Bruce D. Miller, 72, of Everest, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Horton Community Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas the son of Robert and Nancy Buchanan Miller. Bruce was a farmer, stockman and worked for KDOT for 42 years before retiring. In his youth Bruce was involved in 4-H, was a an Eagle Scout and enjoyed boating and skiing at Mission Lake. He was also an avid reader, but the thing he enjoyed most was going to the sporting events of his kids and grandkids. Bruce served as the sexton and on the board for the Miller Cemetery. On June 26, 1971 he married Dora Entrikin in Willis, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Dora Miller of the home, Everest, Kansas; daughter, Amy (Pat) Fassnacht of Whiting, Kansas; son, Bob (Carrie) Miller of Everest, Kansas; four grandchildren, Trisha Fassnacht, Wyatt Fassnacht, Grady Miller and Rylan Miller; brother, Gary Miller of Everest, Kansas; sister, Nancy Gail Miller of Everest, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday.
