Carole Gomez Shuckahosee, 67, of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of Horton, Kansas, passed away on December 8, 2008 at the Brewster Place in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on February 6, 1941 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Louis & Mae Herrick Shuckahosee. Carole worked as a Hostess and Waitress at the Golden Eagle Casino. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe. Survivors include three daughters, Andrea Shuckahosee, Stefani McKinney and Nicole Gomez all of Topeka, Kansas; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Norris, Louis and Reginald Shuckahosee. There will be a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Kickapoo Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation.
