Christine "Watski" Marie Pewamo, 62, of Horton, Kansas, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on September 16, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Leland and Joan Bent Winsea Sr. Christine was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe. Christine married Jeffery L. Pewamo Sr. Survivors include her husband, Jeffery L. Pewamo Sr. of the home, Horton, Kansas, son, Jeffery Lynn Pewamo Jr., three daughters, Rolanda Shopteese, Anna Fee and April Thompson, three brothers, Joe Winsea, Robert Winsea and Leland Winsea Jr., two sisters, Sabrina Winsea and Lisa Winsea, nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ragina Winsea, two brothers, Michael Winsea and Leslie Winsea, two sisters, Brenda Warner and Carol Winsea. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Burial will be at the Winsea Cemetery on the Kickapoo reservation.
