Clair LeRoy Myers, 90, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on January 16, 2009 at the Horton Community Hospital. He was born on April 27, 1918 in Horton, Kansas the son of Harry & Mable Ambrosier Myers. Clair worked for the Creamery in Hiawatha, Everest and Horton prior to going to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. He was a U.S. Marine WW II Veteran, a member of the American Legion and the First Christian Church both of Horton, Kansas. On May 7, 1947 he married Catherine C. Grebb in Horton, Kansas. She preceded him in death on February 29, 1996. Survivors include a brother, Wayne Myers of Topeka, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends prior to services.
