Crystal Louise "Wah-Boxi-Quah" Shopteese, 33, of Horton, Kansas passed away on October 15, 2012 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas due to complications of Diabetes. She was born on December 25, 1978 the daughter of Lorenzo and Nellie Shopteese Sr. Crystal attended Horton High School and Kickapoo Nation School. She was a Kickapoo Tribal member and member of the Kennekuk Indian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joan Shopteese, brothers, Lorenzo Shopteese Jr. and Roland Shopteese. One nephew Jeremy Simon. Survivors include two brothers, Michael Shopteese of Horton, Kansas and John Shopteese of Norman, Oklahoma; three sisters, Christine Shopteese and Michelle Matchie both of Horton, Kansas and Shirley Shopteese of Topeka, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Kennekuk Church Services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday morning.
