Donnie "Don" Kagle, 84, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Mosaic Life Care Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Concordia, Kansas the son of George William and Lillie Elizabeth Kearn Kagle. Don served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a bridge construction supervisor for Reece Construction for over 35 years. Don was a member of the American Legion Post #0058 in Topeka, Kansas and the VFW Post #588 in Concordia, Kansas. He married Mary Surdez, she preceded him in death on May 14, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Romanna Oxley and Sara Sanderson both of Horton, Kansas; step-son, Jimmy Graf of Sabetha, Kansas; two step-daughters, Janice Hundley of Branson, Missouri and Tammy Welliver of Topeka, Kansas; sister, Julie Hickey of Tyrone, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kalynne Kagle; special great granddaughter, Zahley and five step-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William Kagle and George Kagle, three sisters, Mary E. Dick, Margaret Kagle and Faye Ryser. A private family service will be held.
