Dorene Katherine Keo, 75, of Horton, Kansas, formerly of Oklahoma City passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on April 29, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Keith and Aileen Wahwassuck Keo. She graduated from Riverside Indian High School in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Dorene worked as a medical records clerk for Shawnee Indian Clinic for a number of years.  Dorene was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma and the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas. Dorene enjoyed going to thrift shops, Pow-Wow's and the Kickapoo Senior Citizens.  Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Primeaux of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son, Gale Primeaux of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister, Maureen Keo of Horton, Kansas, three brothers, Rudy Keo of Horton, Kansas, Ronald Keo of Horton, Kansas and Dennis Keo of Fort Totten, North Dakota, numerous grandchildren, one great grandchild with one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, David and Milldred Keo, brother, Jackie Keo and a son, Rudy Primeaux. Drum services will be at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Kickapoo Community Building. Burial will be on Tuesday morning at the Anderson-Negonsott Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation.
