Gary Eugene Goodin, 75, of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away suddenly at his home, on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was born on January 9, 1946 in Leavenworth, Kansas the son of Virgil and Delphine Brown Goodin. After graduating from high school, Gary served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy for twenty four years before retiring. He then worked as a correctional officer for the Lansing Department of Corrections, security guard for the Golden Eagle Casino and most recently helped his wife manage the Horton Thrift Shop. On December 6, 1992 he married Janice Church Patterson in Muscotah United Church. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2021. Survivors include two daughters, A.J. Spedding of Allen Town, Pennsylvania and Cindy Gaer of Kansas City, Kansas; step son, Andy (Taarna) Patterson of Mayetta, Kansas; step daughter, Diana (Kevin) Shinn of Uniontown, Kansas; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Goodin and a daughter, Brenda Goodin.
