Geraldine "Gerri" Marie Clift, 87, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Mission Village Living Center in Horton, Kansas. She was born on February 20, 1931 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Mary Allen Wahwassuck Sr. Gerri graduated from Haskell High School and the Highland Community College. She worked as a LPN nurse in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area prior to returning to the Kickapoo Reservation. She is survived by a son Thomas "Sonny" Gerald Clift of Horton, Kansas; brother, Frank "Bunny" Wahwassuck of Horton, Kansas; sister, Ramona "Ommie" Wahwassuck of Horton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Jimmy Riley, Michael Clift and Rick Clift, two brothers, Francis "Bigman" Wahwassuck and Wilson "Woody" Wahwassuck and six sisters, Josephine Wahwassuck, Elizabeth Wahwassuck, Verda Mae Spencer, Cora Cupps, Evelyn Negonsott and Lenora Winsea. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. following the service at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation with a potluck dinner to follow at the Kickapoo Community Building.
