Grace Elizabeth Leitch, 75, of Everest, Kansas, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Tri-County Manor in Horton, Kansas. She was born on October 13, 1935 on a farm north of Huron, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Grace Miller Linck. On June 11, 1954 she married James Glen Leitch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Purcell, Kansas. They farmed in rural Effingham until 1963 when they moved to their present farm north of Everest, Kansas. Grace worked for the Horton Garment Factory, Sunflower Creamery prior to becoming a homemaker and helping her husband Glen on the family farm. She was an active member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas where she taught Sunday School and worked with the Altar Society. Grace was a former 4-H Leader with the Everest 4-Leaf Clovers and enjoyed reading, flowers, gardening and being outdoors. Survivors include her husband, Glen Leitch of the home, Everest, Kansas; a daughter, Deborah (John) Bowman of Wichita, Kansas; two sons, Philip (Sharyl) Leitch of Muscotah, Kansas and Michael (Shannon) Leitch of Wamego, Kansas; three brothers, LeRoy Linck of Horton, Kansas, Glen Linck of Huron, Kansas and Mark Logan of Atchison, Kansas; a sister, Charlotte Reed of Carbondale, Kansas and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Charles Jr., Bernard, Dennis, Lawrence and Leo Linck. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas with burial at the All Saints Cemetery north of Everest, Kansas. A Prayer Service will be recited at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday evening at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton with visitation to follow.
