Harold H. Jones, 89, of Goff, Kansas, passed away on April 13, 2011 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, Kansas. He was born on June 4, 1921 in Goff, Kansas, the son of Frank and Mary Spicer Jones. Harold was a farmer and worked at Goodyear in Topeka for thirty one years. After Harold retired from Goodyear in 1982 he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On May 2, 1990 he married Barbara Holthaus in Atchison, Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jones of the home, Goff, Kansas; two sons, Harold Jones Jr. of Washington, Kansas and Rick Jones of Wetmore, Kansas; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and three step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lincoln, Everett and Dale Jones and a sister, Ruby Clarkson. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Wetmore Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
