Joshua Edward Groshong, 19, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, east of Atchison, Kansas in an automobile accident. Josh was born on December 28, 1988 in Olathe, Kansas the son of Gene Edward & Brenda C. Bell Groshong. He worked as a housing maintenance worker. Joshua attended the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kansas. Survivors include his father, Eddie Groshong of Horton, Kansas; mother, Brenda C. Trueblood and her husband Dean of Wathena, Kansas; grandmother, Nancy Groshong of Horton, Kansas; grandparents, Joe & Judy Bell of Overland Park, Kansas, great grandmother, Ora Groshong of Horton, Kansas; Fiancee, Sara Hoover, of Overland Park, Kansas; brother, Danny Groshong of Overland Park, Kansas; step sister, Brianna Trueblood of Wathena, Kansas; aunt, Tracy Bartley of Overland Park, Kansas and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Max Groshong. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Horton, Kansas. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Burial will be at the Muscotah Cemetery.
