Obituary

Karen Lee Mayo-Bright, 71, of Topeka, Kansas formerly of Muscotah, Kansas passed away on July 13, 2009 at her son's home in Roswell, Georgia. She was born on November 9, 1937 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Frank & Bernice Osterhout Hubbard. Karen worked in several department stores as a salesperson prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Cathedral in Topeka, Kansas. In October of 1999 she married David Bright in Topeka, Kansas. He survives of the home, Topeka, Kansas. She is also survived by a two sons, Kevin Mayo of Roswell, Georgia and Chris Tosterud of Drexel, Missouri; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tammy Tosterud and a sister, Janet Wall. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Karen Mayo-Bright memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
