Luella Rose Beach, 82, of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away at her home, on Monday, November 25, 2013. Luella was born on December 6, 1930 in Arrington, Kansas the daughter of Victor and Rose Marie Bidding Brown. Luella worked as a billing clerk for KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas for twenty seven years before retiring. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, fishing and spending time with her dogs. On June 3, 1949 she married Eugene Beach in Holton, Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Gene Beach of the home; daughter, Joyce Gonzales of Muscotah, Kansas; brother, Bill Brown of Muscotah, Kansas; five grandchildren, Melissa Razo, Victor Travis Smith, Arlie Schmitter, Dylan Smith and Lennon Barber and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Esther Moulden. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton where the family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to PETA or the North Shore Animal League and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
