Margaret C. Kimsey, 88, of Horton, Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Horton Community Hospital. She was born at home on July 26, 1919 near Mercier, Kansas the daughter of John P. & Mary Margaret Winterscheidt Schuetz. Margaret was a homemaker and a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church and Altar Society in Horton, Kansas. Margaret enjoyed woodworking, reading, quilting and sewing. On November 14, 1939 she married Cecil B. Kimsey at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mercier, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1969. Survivors include a son, Gordon & wife Jeannie Kimsey of Troy, Kansas; five daughters, Esther & husband Charles Hall of Apple Valley, California, Deanna & husband Robert Harding of Gladstone, Missouri, Joan & husband Michael Tebeau of St. Louis, Missouri, Rita & husband Patrick Ervin of Parker, Colorado and Alice & husband Douglas Lively of Wood Dale, Illinois; a sister, Mildred Werner of Horton, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Kimsey, four brothers, Rev. Marion, Clarence, Theodore and Gerald Schuetz, six sisters, Eulalia Garsche, Sister Leonissa Schuetz O.S.B., Gertrude Schaefer, Henrietta Werner and twins Florence and Florina Schuetz. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 6:30 P.M. with a Prayer service to follow at 7:00 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas. Memorials may be sent to the American Breast Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
