Marjorie Belle Bunck, 94, of rural Everest, KS passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Horton Community Hospital. Marjorie was born July 2, 1923 in Everest, Kansas the daughter of Nels and Edna (Eyer) Monson. She grew up in Everest and graduated from Everest High School. Marjorie attended the United Methodist Church and the Everest Christian Church. She was a past member of the American Legion Post #288 Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and church activities. Marjorie was a cook for the Everest Schools and was a homemaker. She married Warren Bunck on June 6, 1945. They made Everest their home. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2017.
Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Margaret and husband Ed Berger of Everest, KS, son, Steve and wife Renee of Fremont, NE, grandchildren, Tina and husband Robert Shield of Leeds, England, Craig and wife Sarah Bunck of McKinney, TX, Erin and husband Roy Foster of Lansing, KS, Todd and wife Lisa Berger of LaVista, NE, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruth Bower and two brothers, John and George Monson.
Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary of Horton, KS. Pastor Al Schirmacher will officiate. Interment will follow at the Miller Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the mortuary..
