Mary Elizabeth Haverkamp, 43, of rural Horton, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at her home. She was born on November 14, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas. Mary worked in the medical field as a CNA for many years. She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas. On June 19, 2004 she married Dan Haverkamp in Horton, Kansas. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her mother & step father, Mary & Sam Blanton Sr. of Horton, Kansas; two daughters, Ashley Obbards of Martinsville, Indiana and Kelly Haverkamp of Horton, Kansas; four brothers, Bill Long of Cameron, Missouri, Chris Long of Whiting, Kansas, Sammy Blanton and Louis Blanton both of Horton, Kansas; sister, Pebble Hare of North Dakota and six grandchildren. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas. The family will greet friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton. Burial will be at the St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery.
