Mary Oldaker, 81, of Horton, Kansas formerly of Muscotah, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at her home in Horton. She was born on October 23, 1929 in Effingham, Kansas the daughter of Elmer and Goldie Walker Loyd. Mary was a homemaker most of her life. In later years she worked at the Brown County Infirmary and the Tri-County Manor. She was a member of the Muscotah United Church and several Bible Study Groups. On October 24, 1945 she married Lewis White in Holton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1985. On September 16, 1989 she married William Oldaker. He also preceded her in death on February 23, 2005. Survivors include a son, Elmer (Linda) White of Hiawatha, Kansas; five daughters, Mary Soden of Atchison, Kansas, Eva (Glenn) Fetty of Horton, Kansas, Cheryl (Richard) Frayer of Powhattan, Kansas, Sandy Hawkins of Horton, Kansas and Ilene White of Horton, Kansas; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; brother, Sam Loyd of Texas; sisters, Darlene Doty of Muscotah, Kansas, Bessie Jones of Atchison, Kansas, Sharon Dexter of Powhattan, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lois Siebenmorgan and Isabel Merz. Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary where the family will greet friends from 1:30 until service time. Burial will be at the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Mary Oldaker memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
