Melvalene Cadue "Ni-Ni-Ko-Thah-Quah", 64, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1954 in Pawnee, Oklahoma the daughter of Dorothy Downs. After graduating from college she became a dental assistant for a number of years before going to work as a customer services representative . On October 28, 1986 she married Kenneth Cadue Jr. in Lawrence, Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Cadue Jr. of the home; son, Christopher Lee Lewis of Shawnee, Oklahoma; five daughters, Melissa Dawn Lewis of Lawrence, Kansas, Candace Donnell Lewis of San Antonio, Texas, Whittney Adell Cadue of Lawrence, Kansas, Brittany Jane`e Cadue and Courtney Cadue of Lawrence, Kansas; one brother, Charles "Othia" Johnson; seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Johnson and a daughter, Cassaundra Rae Lewis. A Native American Supper will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be at 7:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Cadue-Mattwaoshe Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation. A special message may be sent to the family at
