Mildred Irene Pederson, 93, of Hiawatha, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Horton Community Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1915 in Hiawatha, Kansas, the daughter of James & Adeline Robinson Carr. Mildred was a homemaker, a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the W.E.L.C.A. On April 2, 1950 she married Henry C. Pederson at the Zion Lutheran Church in Everest, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1975. She is survived by a daughter, Lorene & her husband John Wiseman of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren, Troy & wife Suzy Haas, Ryan & wife Natalie Haas; four great grandchildren, Camron Haas, Jordan Haas, Willem Haas & Andre Haas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Halvor Pederson; three sisters, Coral Wiedman, Thelma Mellenbruch and Eva Catts; three brothers, Theodore Carr, Floyd Carr and Orville Carr.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Everest, Kansas. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas.
