Monty Lee Johnson, 23, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on January 1, 2009 on the Kickapoo Reservation. He was born on July 31, 1985 in Hiawatha, Kansas the son of Randolph Lee Johnson & Sally Wakole. Monty was a machine operator for Cross Winds Industries in Sabetha, Kansas. He was a member of the Sac-N-Fox Tribe of Oklahoma. Survivors include a son, Kadin Lee Johnson of Horton, Kansas; mother, Sally Wakole of Horton, Kansas; father, Randolf Lee Johnson of Horton, Kansas; step father, James D. Pahmahmie of Horton, Kansas; sister, Chenenia Johnson of Horton, Kansas; brother, Sheldon Tope Johnson of Horton, Kansas; half sister, Rhona Johnson of Horton, Kansas; grandparents, Phyllis Johnson of Horton, Kansas, Marjorie Pahmahmie of Horton, Kansas and Rudy Johnson of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Markell Grant of Horton, Kansas; niece, Mahkell Grant; nephews, Lashaun & Lashane Grant. Drum Services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2008 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation.
