Obituary

Nile De Los Santos, 40, of Everest, Kansas went to be with Jesus on September 29, 2011 after an 8 ½ yr. fight with a heart and lung condition at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on March 18, 1971 in Crowell, Texas the youngest of seven children born to Ray and Josephine (Brown) De Los Santos Sr. Nile graduated from Horton High School in 1990. On September 2, 1995 he married Cara Smith in Horton, Kansas.
He attended First Baptist Church in Horton and was a member of the Everest Lions Club. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys & spending time with his kids and family. He really enjoyed his yearly trip to Texas where he spent time camping and four-wheeling with his siblings and other family members.
He is survived by his wife, Cara, three sons, Spencer 15, Conner 13, Carter 8 and one daughter, Josephine 10; three sisters, Sulema (Stan) Walker of Ft. Worth Texas; Delia (Pete) Oaks of Horton Kansas; Carolina (Rodney) Cox of Bluff Dale Texas; three brothers, Ray De Los Santos of Crowell Texas; Ruben (Amanda) De Los Santos of Crowell Texas; Joey (Aimee) De Los Santos of Ft. Worth Texas. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Greeting him in Heaven are his parents, Ray & Josephine De Los Santos. He was a kind, gentle soul that was dearly loved by all who were fortunate to call him "friend". We will always love you and never forget you, Nile. Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Horton, Kansas. A private family burial will take place following the service at the Brush Creek Cemetery Southeast of Horton, Kansas. Friends may call anytime Saturday at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Memorials may be sent to the De Los Santos children's educational fund or the First Baptist Church Landscaping fund both may be sent in care of the mortuary.
