Obituary

Nora Ann Parker, 64 of the Kickapoo Reservation passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on June 27, 1956 in Mitchell, South Dakota the daughter of Francis "Bud" and Sara Pemma Jessepe.  After graduating from Washburn University Nora worked for the Kickapoo Tribe for over 45 years before retiring.  She was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On September 6, 1981 she married Franklin "Keesis" Parker in Horton, Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Frank Parker of the home; two brothers, Wayne "Tab" Jessepe and Kenneth "Shawn" Jessepe; three daughters, Marlo "Wassee Qua" Parker, Karla "Keech" Covers Up, and Rebecca "Kewah" Parker; son, Sonny "Auchi" Parker; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; adopted brother, Edwin Greene and adopted sister, Chammie Quah Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents,  two brothers, Eddie and Floyd Jessepe, two sisters, Becky Jessepe and Marilyn Jessepe. A graveside service was held at 3:30 P.M.  on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Swah-Kah-Ah family cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation.
