Obituary

Norman "Ray" Sullivan, 72, of Horton, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his home. He was born on April 16, 1941 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Glenn and Grace Howland Sullivan. Ray worked as a machinist for Hammersmith Manufacturing and Topeka Metal Specialities before retiring. He married Pat Snyder on January 19, 1996 in Hiawatha, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Ray (Laura) Sullivan and Glenn Sullivan both of Topeka; two step sons, Dan (Rachel) Henninger of Highland, Kansas and Jeff Henninger of Lincoln, Nebraska; step daughter, Christina (Richard) Julian of Chase, Kansas; five brothers, Don (Pat) Sullivan, Mike Sullivan and Gary Sullivan all of Horton, Kansas, Walt Sullivan and Reuben (Linda) Sullivan both of Topeka, Kansas; five sisters, Jeannine (Tom) Bechtold of Leavenworth, Kansas, Kathy (Jerry) Boaz of Troy, Kansas, Glenda (Richard) Butner of Effingham, Kansas, Judy (Gene) Hetz of Atchison, Kansas and Nellie (Charlie) Brockhoff of Fairview, Kansas; eighteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bobby Sullivan, a baby brother, twin brothers, David and Daniel Sullivan, brother, Mervin Sullivan, sister, Vivian Sullivan, sister-in-law, Lavonne Sullivan and great great nephew, Mekhi Boone. Funeral services and Military Honors will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
