Quentin Eric (Kumahsum) Green, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Holton Hospital, with his wife Monica by his side. He was 56 years old. Born on July 16, 1968, in Horton, Kansas, Quentin was raised on the Kickapoo Reservation, a community he cherished and served throughout his life. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, a proud grandfather, and a friend. Quentin is survived by his beloved wife Monica, and his children James Green, Marah Green, Trevon Hale, Erica Kahbeah-Green, Kedra Kahbeah-Green, and CoriAnne Kahbeah-Green. He is also survived by his brothers Mark Kahbeah and Merle Green. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Wishteyah, with whom he shared a deep bond and many cherished memories. A gifted cook, Quentin dedicated his life to preparing food and providing for his community. He found joy and purpose in the kitchen, and his meals were an extension of his generosity and care. Quentin's passions included smoking food to perfection, playing pool, cheering for KU basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs, and most of all, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He loved being with family and often shared laughter and wisdom with those closest to him. He especially treasured his time with his mother. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 19, 2025, and Quentin was lovingly sent home through Kennekuk services, and his final resting place is at Kennekuk Church. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his commitment to family and community, and his favorite saying: "Money is no object. Quentin's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
