Ramona Kay "Tino Quah" Ramirez, 39, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was born on December 28, 1972 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of William Lewis and Deanna Pewamo. Ramona was a CNA and CMA at several area nursing homes and had worked for the Kickapoo Headstart. On January 1, 1997 she married Sam Ramirez in Horton, Kansas. They later were divorced. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribe and the Native American Church. Ramona enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Survivors include two daughters, Audrey Ramirez of Horton, Kansas and Madelyn Greene Horn of Springfield, Oregon; three sons, Joseph Ramirez and Jonathan Ramirez both of Horton, Kansas and Ryan Green of Powhattan, Kansas; a sister, Mary Lou Jessepe of Mayetta, Kansas; three brothers, Edwin Green, Raymond Greene and Cleary Craine all of Powhattan, Kansas; four grandchildren, Trennity, Lyllian, Karson and Miley; a sister in law, Ruthie Greene; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Thelma Marie Greene and Dionna Craine, two brothers, Rocky Greene and John Collins. Native American Church Services will be held at Mary Lou Jessepe's home, 15975 L4 Lane in Mayetta, Kansas on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be on Friday at the Old Dance Grounds Cemetery after dinner. The famiy will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas.
