Randy Lee McAlexander, 52, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on August 21, 2009 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was born on March 6, 1957 in Holton, Kansas the son of Robert Lee & Shirley Ruffner McAlexander. Randy was raised by his mother & step father in Topeka, Kansas and in the Horton, Kansas area. During junior high and high school, Randy joined the band and learned to play all the band instruments he also became quite an artist. He also joined the Sheriff's patrol for helping to prevent teenage drug use and drug rings. After high school Randy joined the U.S. Navy. Following his time in the service, Randy attended Ministry College and then became a Chef and cooked for several restaurants. He is survived by his mother and step father, Shirley & Charles Hedrick of Horton, Kansas; son, Cody Edward McAlexander of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Tamara Ann Fairbanks of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Penny Lynn Chambers of Meriden, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at a later date with burial at the Denton, Kansas Cemetery.
