Sandra Faye Cedeno, 57, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1951 in Brown County, Kansas the daughter of Fred & Minerva Mason Spoone. Sandra worked as a welder for Rockwell International before going to work as a CNA for area nursing homes in Brown and Jackson Counties. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe and the Kennekuk Church. She was married to Leland Green and then to Alsi Biade Escobar Cedeno. Survivors include her husband, Alsi Biade Escobar Cedeno of the home; son, Steven Lewis of Cameron, Missouri; two daughters, Ronette Lewis and Lena Rose Lewis both of Kansas City, Kansas; four brothers, Kirby Duncan of Emporia, Kansas, Preston Duncan, Vincent Duncan and Eldon Joy all of Tama, Iowa; two sisters, Sadie Wapoose and Rhoda Cadue both of Horton, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three children, twins, and a son, Earl Lewis, a brother, George Spoone, and three sisters, Vera Rose Finch, Linda Melting Tallow and Winifred Dooley. Kennekuk Church Services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation.
