Vickie A. Lewis, 55, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on November 1, 2008 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on July 25, 1953 in Shawnee, Oklahoma the daughter of Bo Dupuis & Eleanor Wakolee Bower. Vickie was an Indian Education director for U.S.D. #501 in Topeka, Kansas for a number of years. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe and the Drum Religion. Survivors include, a son, Albert Murata of Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Joni Dupuis and Shawnee J. Lewis both of Topeka, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lee J. Bower. Drum Services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at the Kickapoo Community Building west of Horton, Ks.
